a short film written & directed by Gabriela Loza
Eric and Cate live and work on Mars and must fulfil their contract to the all-powerful Erasure Institute. The Erasure Institute has mastered the technology of "erasing", which removes emotional pain and trauma. Eric begins to suspect that the Institute’s work may have a darker side. At the same time, Cate is haunted by inexplicable and disturbing memories. Cate decides that voluntary erasure might be her only way out. Can love be erased?

Can love be erased?
In today’s world there is no need for suffering.
The Erasure Institute has perfected the memory erasing process,
removing emotional pain and trauma across the population.
A carefully controlled electric current gently passes through the body,
breaking synaptic connections to whatever troubles you.
Appointments at the Erasure Institute are encouraged, and sometimes enforced. Remember...Forgetting is best
"The back story about how ERASED made its way to our festival is almost as gripping as what's on the screen, which is saying something. Because what's on the screen is a deeply moving, very exciting, all-encompassing piece of speculative storytelling, clearly the work of a talented, committed filmmaker and her team. Gabriela has shepherded her film from inception to distribution. Her dedication is inspiring, and her film is terrific." -
Simon Foster, Festival Director. Sydney Science Fiction Film Festival
"Your film is a masterpiece"
- Troy P. Bernier, Festival Director, Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival
